One important fact that all consumers should be aware of is that with a tankless heater your hot water will take longer to get to you.
We had purchased the Takagi Mobious after being told it would deliver instantaneous hot water for our family.
The manufacturer has a different definition of "instantaneous" from the rest of us.- It starts to heat the water instantaneously, but takes a looonnng time to push the cold water out of the pipes before getting to your sink, shower, etc.
It is necessary to get an additional recirculation pump to get the hot water to you in a reasonable time.
The upside is there is an endless supply of hot water.

I would be very careful about the positive comments made about the Hot Water Lobster Instant Hot Water Valve. The same poster, Tony, has entered basically the same thing on all the websites i've visited about 'instant hot water' types of equipment. I suspect he either works for the company or has some other financial interest in this product.

Another great alternative to a tankless hot water heater is the Hot Water Lobster instant hot water valve. It conserves water while also giving convenient access to instant hot water throughout the entire home! It's easy for anyone to install, works off of the homes existing plumbing, and only costs $179.95!

The Hot Water Lobster uses no electricity and is pump free, so it creats no noise. It is made in the U.S.A., has a 10 year warranty, and can be easily installed in under 10 minutes.
